Position Overview

BANYAN is looking for a passionate and high-performing Sr. Manager of Talent Acquisition. This individual will be BANYAN’s first recruiting hire and will build the function internally. BANYAN sits behind the scenes to allow consumers to connect their receipts to any app they choose in a secure, safe, and anonymized way. We partner with both merchants (who supply the receipts) and banks, neobanks, and fintechs (who have demand for receipts).

As Sr. Manager, Talent Acquisition, your number one priority will be to partner with BANYAN’s business leaders and to define and drive best-in-class recruiting strategies and practices for the company. This individual will build all processes across technical and non-technical recruiting efforts and should be adept at running a talent acquisition life cycle. In our rapidly scaling company, the ability to drive results, while remaining agile and able to shift gears at a moment’s notice will be critical to your success.

Initially reporting directly to our CFO, you will work closely with all other internal business teams such as Product, Marketing, Engineering, Customer Success, and Sales teams. You will play a critical role in driving the next stage of our fast paced growth.

  • Own our recruiting function end-to-end. Build strategies to scale our recruiting function and build the pipeline to recruit best-in-class, diverse talent
  • Run recruiting processes and pipelines for technical and non-technical roles
  • Build out our recruiting function and set up the tools and infrastructure to scale
  • Establish and lead sourcing strategies and build a pipeline of potential candidates through active outreach, sourcing, and networking
  • Develop interview process, demonstrating a deep understanding of BANYAN’s values and value proposition
  • Start to develop operational rigor and metrics to drive excellence as the company scales
  • Collaborate with executives and hiring managers to optimize our recruiting process and create a best-in-class candidate experience
  • Ensure excellence in all aspects of the recruiting function: how we source candidates, how we engage them and tell our story, how we interview and educate candidates, how team members invest time to become great recruiters and interviewers, how we make offers and onboard candidates, and even how we tell candidates they aren't the right fit
  • Partner with the leadership team and managers to scale our company-wide onboarding and build department specific onboarding that sets up new hires for success
  • Expand and improve the remote onboarding process to make new employees feel a part of the team


While we are open to the best candidate to get the job done, the following qualifications and experience are a guideline to what we are looking for. You will thrive in this role if you have:

  • 4+ years of recruiting experience in a fast paced, high growth company
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience managing a recruiting team, such as setting team metrics
  • Experience with scaling interviews, candidate screening, and evaluation
  • Experience implementing a recruiting platform such as Greenhouse or Lever
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and team management skills
  • Strong decision-making skills using data
  • World-class ability to identify and attract top talent
  • Deep understanding of scaling technical and non-technical teams
  • History of having developed high performing teams, programs, solutions or strategies from scratch
  • Passion for always being in-the-know on the latest trends and recruiting best practices
